America the Beautiful Fund’s Vice President, Kay Lautman, was featured in the January 15, 2007 issue of The Non-Profit Times as one of “the World’s Best Fundraisers”. Kay wrote the original fundraising letter that started America the Beautiful Fund, and went on to help raise funds for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, National Museum of the Marine Corps, National Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial. She also “wrote the book” on direct mail fundraising “Dear Friend.”
